Well, fortunately, although its in japanese, the story isnt its strong point and you can pretty much take a guess at whats going on. Basically, theres a vortex of some sort which is mixing friends foes from all the Capcom and Namco worlds up. Collectively, they're all trying to find out why this is, and stop the person behind it. Thats it so far, although it may get a little more complicated later on. In terms of gameplay, once you establish all the commands and controls, its free sailing and your going to have a good time with the battle system.
Initially, the battle system revolves around the standard sRPG conventions. Your on a grid, and you take turns with the enemy to move, and then attack, heal, use a skill, or wait. However, the most excitement comes from when you've just selected an attack on an enemy. It takes you to a 2D screen, with your players on the left, and the enemy on the right. From here, you have a choice of 5 short-range attacks, 5 long range attacks, and 1 special attack, all of which you can string into a combo by jugging the enemy.
Furthermore, if you surround an enemy with other ally characters (on the grid), and then enter this 2d attack mode, they all join you to help you in this combo. The more characters around your enemy, the bigger and crazier your combo will be.
Its very fun, and theres a lot of strategy in deciding which moves you should equip your characters with, and how you use them to keep the enemy in the air.

Recently moved over to Guitar Freaks 3rd Mix & Drummania 2nd Mix for PS2. Me, Raij and OCB have bought 2 guitar controllers and a drum controller for it, so we can go 3 player in the way it was intended.

FFX-2: Int.+LM turns that "ew" into more of a "...hmm...". Theres a lot to keep you busy, and the way they link the story to FFVII's is very interesting. Last Mission itself is a neat little extra that makes the ending even more open than before, and fortunately for my ears, they only used japanese voices for that section.
Cata's ratings so far:
FFX = 10/10
FFX-2 = 7/10
FFX-2: Int.+LM = 8/10
Im still waiting to play as Auron or Tidus though. That was always the addition that attracted me the most.

One morning at Ral-kun's house, i decided to complete Astro Boy in one sitting. Took me 4 hours, but i completed it. The final two bosses were pretty damn hard. As for the game, since i couldn't save, i focused on the main story. In general, it was okay, but was more like a boss survival mode than anything. Fight boss > gain more power > fly somewhere > Fight another boss.
There were other parts to the game which i didn't play. There were cards to collect, events to complete and a side quest involving the character Sharaku (see "the three eyed one" for more info). I also noticed Blackjack and Pinoko around, so there might have been an event with them. So there was plenty to do.
My main complaint is with the two levels at the end. Clearly you need more than two different rooms to build a dungon, yet this is what they did. Very pointless. They could have made the flying faster too. Now that i think about it, the game did have a NiGHTS feel about it. The main attack you had was a spin attack, and fighting the bosses was mainly about timing when to attack.
Well, Astro Boy is a solid game, but with a good number of flaws too. As a crap game, it's very good. As a Sonic Team game, it's one of their worse. Still better than Sonic Heroes though.
I also got Project Rub (Feel the magic) today for a low low price. Anyone wanna give me a DS?
